Sometimes when I am shopping I try on things I would never ever buy, just for fun! For instance these insanely expensive hats! Although I was a hat girl when I was little these are way to over the top, feathery and frilly for anything I ever do. Not exactly beach material. Don’t you think the bottom right hat is very Audrey Hepburn-ish?

You should see me & my husband when one of us has to get new glasses! We try on almost every pair in the place with only a couple of pairs being ones that we would actually consider buying. Such fun laughing at how we look in the most ridiculous glasses!

Over 50 years ago, there were several millinery stores between where I was going to school downtown Salt Lake City and my Grandma’s house, where I was living. I usually walked and occasionally I would stop in the stores and try on hats. I wanted to buy one (or more) so bad! But school girls don’t have that kind of money. I loved trying them on though, and sometimes a friend would be with me, and that made it even more fun. Love you all! Love your blog. GGCrook
