Thanks for all the fun and kind comments on my post last week! We can DO hard things! One thing I didn’t mention in that post was that after 12 hours of flying and airport-ing my husband greeted me and sophie at the airport with a beautiful orchid lei and some hot wendy’s burgers and fries! It was my first real lei greeting! Loved the aloha!

Can you believe it is November already! I can’t! It seems so unreal to me that it could possibly be november! Here we are going to the beach, wishing we had AC, and wearing shorts and the holiday season is coming right at us! I am not sure I have adjusted to this “one season” thing!

Speaking of holidays, I have been busily working on lots of christmas card designs! They will be avaliable in the Key Lime Market soon!

Happy Monday!

He is such a nice guy. I love your picture. I can smell how pretty those orchids must have been.

RogueChinchillaSorry man. (By the way I was born and raised maui, and I am navite hawaiian too)But funding is a necessity. Some people yes did live off of the land. But that was in ancient times, when the land was ahupua’a. That’s all been destroyed. The infrastructure for that kind of subsistence is pretty much gone. Sure some people can go pound some kalo or hunt a pig and cook it in their imu. But imagine Every resident having to do that on a daily basis to survive. The land isn’t ready to support that.

Hi! I’m Kendra. I’m hoping you love cookie dough, celebrating holidays with simple traditions and procrastinating laundry just as much as me!
